“A first time to read for me by this author. I really enjoyed this cliff hanging suspense read. I’m not into scare me suspense but this was the correct amount of suspense for me. It was a thriller series with a little romance that kept me on the edge of my seat. Well worth reading. I passed the series to my mom who also enjoyed reading these books.”

“I devoured all 4 books in 4 days. Loved this book because a character from book 1 showed up. All our characters have gotten some kind of closure. I’m happy to see there will be another book coming out with our main character Carolyn.”

“I had read the first 3 books in this series and eagerly anticipated A Fall Kill, the final book. I was not disappointed. What a thrill ride! Bringing together favorite characters from the previous books to help Carolyn Ryder, the story takes off and never stops till the climatic and satisfying ending. If you haven’t read the Kill Seasons series, you’re missing out on intriguing characters and stories that keep you coming back for more.”

“My Favorite. A Fall Kill truly is a piece of work that shows the brilliance of Ellum’s mind. I’ve read all of his series, and A Fall Kill is my favorite book of them all. I don’t want to say anything that gives spoilers, so I’ll leave it at this; for me it was a true crime Avengers. I’m excited to see what other works of art J.K. Ellem plans to give us in the future.”

“Captivating! WOW! What a captivating and exciting story. Beth Rimes a police officer spent years looking for “The Highway Killer” whose real name is Samuel Pritchard. Now retired she’s still hunting for him. He’s an evil serial killer. She’s confronted by a friend, and they team up with two others to hunt him down. They are led to Ravenwood where Detective Haley Perez, and Ben Shaw are also looking for him. Then another serial killer escapes from prison, and terror doubles. It’s just the beginning of a suspenseful story that you can’t possibly put down. The ending on what happens can leave you wanting as it’s exciting, heartbreaking, and even heartwarming. If you haven’t read the previous stories this book will definitely lead you in that direction.”

“Gripping Read. Carolyn Ryder returns with her allies in the pursuit of Sam Pritchard. This novel brings in players from the Ravenwood and Justice Series to complete the team in pursuit of Pritchard. There is a second surprise criminal in play in Ravenwood, I will not disclose the identity to avoid spoilers. I enjoyed the development of this “final” chapter in the seasons with Carolyn Ryder. Highly recommend this for lovers of thrillers. I can definitely see more books with Allie, and the residents of Ravenwood.”

“A chilling thriller — definitely keeps your heart racing JKE never fails to stun and amaze! And he gets the job done in spades as he finishes up The Killing Seasons 4-book series with a powerhouse of chills and thrills that will keep readers immersed in a sinister web of evil.
This case has taken readers through winter, spring, and summer — and now fall has arrived with its vibrant colored leaves bringing readers to the end of the road in Ravenwood. It’s where the search for the terrorizing serial murderer Sam Pritchard will finally end.
Along with the previous three books, the tightly woven finale kept me compulsively reading and guessing until the very end. And just when I thought I had it all figured out, BOOM! PLOT TWIST! Evocative, gripping and utterly compelling, A FALL KILL is a masterfully told story by a consummate craftsman at the top of his game.
With its climatic ending, vengeance will satisfy the most seasoned crime readers. All the dangling ends are tied up neatly for familiar characters from the four books who’ll finally find their peace and comfort zones. And with the perfect “Rhett Butler” final scene Ellem shows his sense of humor here as well.
As always after finishing one of JKE’s books, I’m excitedly awaiting the news of what this remarkable author has up his sleeve next.”

“This is the final instalment in JK Ellem’s Killing Seasons and let me tell you it was thrilling, heart breaking, funny, dark, and brilliantly written. It was the perfect way to wrap up the series leaving no stone unturned, no question unanswered. Now I’m depressed because it’s over, but I hope we get to see more of Carolyn Ryder.”

“I got this as an advanced copy for an honest review. This final book is an absolute rollercoaster ride that takes place in Ravenwood across just a few days. We get reunited with some of the previous characters in the series who come together like a team of unlikely heroes who are called upon to be superheroes to tackle Sam Pritchard in this final battle. I have to say this is my favorite book in the series and there were some incredible surprises. I haven’t read any of the other books based in Ravenwood, but I’m going to be definitely starting with Mill Point Road. This town is so intriguing. Well done, Jack.”

“As soon as I received my advance copy, I put my life on hold and couldn’t put the book down. I needed to know what was going to happen next with Carolyn and Ellie. Was pleasantly surprised to see a few familiar faces also drop into the story to help with hunting down Pritchard.”
